NEW AT BRUNSWICK MEDICAL AESTHETICS!
NEW DEVICES FROM ALMA LASERS
Opus Plasma represents the next generation of fractional skin resurfacing treatments for women and men of most skin types who want to minimize wrinkles and reverse damage caused by the sun and the natural aging process. The procedure’s versatility enables us to adjust treatment intensity from light to aggressive, depending on the patient’s skin condition and goals.
The innovative platform combines radiofrequency (RF) energy with plasma created when the RF energy emitted from the tips of metal pins react to atmospheric pressure.
Like other laser skin resurfacing treatments, Opus Plasma removes only a fraction of the skin in the targeted area. Fractional skin resurfacing creates thousands of tiny micro-injuries to the skin while leaving the surrounding tissue undamaged. The body’s natural healing response repairs these controlled wounds by producing new collagen and elastin, the building blocks of smooth, youthful-looking skin.
Unlike traditional laser-based skin resurfacing technologies, however, Opus Plasma precisely controls the time that radiofrequency energy makes contact with the skin. This minimizes unwanted inflammation that typically leads to longer recovery times.
Who Can Benefit From Opus Plasma Treatments?
Because we can adjust the treatment’s intensity, virtually anyone with concerns about their skin’s appearance is a good candidate for an Opus Plasma procedure. It produces results similar to an aggressive CO2 laser or a gentle laser peel, depending on the setting used. The difference with Opus Plasma is that the treatment and recovery time is minimal compared to other laser treatments.
The benefits of an Opus Plasma treatment include:
Reduced appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and loose and saggy skin
Overall skin rejuvenation
Minimized acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch mark
Reduced pore size
What Happens During an Opus Plasma Treatment?
We begin by applying a topical anesthetic to the target area to minimize discomfort during the session. The topical anesthetic stays on the skin for 30-60 minutes. Once the skin is numb, we glide the Opus Plasma handpiece across the skin to emit the radiofrequency and plasma energy. Once the procedure is finished, we apply a protective balm. Patients usually notice some slight redness and swelling after the treatment, but it resolves on its own within 48 hours in most cases. More aggressive treatment settings can extend the downtime. Even though most patients see results after a single treatment, 3 treatment sessions are recommended for optimal results.
The Alma Harmony XL PRO technology is utilized to create aesthetic results without the need for a more invasive procedure. Designed as a customized program, Harmony XL PRO allows for the administration of both laser and light-based procedures to improve a variety of skin conditions. This exclusive technology can effectively be utilized to treat acne, lesions, and aging skin, as well as being a tool for hair and tattoo removal.
Many describe this laser treatment machine as a technological breakthrough in cosmetic dermatology. It is FDA approved to treat more than 65 different skin concerns, including:
Rough skin texture
As one of the most popular Harmony XL PRO treatments, ClearLift treats several age-related skin conditions to allow patients to look and feel younger. Safe for use on the face, neck, and decollete, this laser treatment can reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, sun damage, issues with skin tone and texture, and skin laxity.

The Dye VL PRO by Alma treats pigmented lesions of the skin, such as rosacea, spider veins, port-wine stains, sun spots, and more. This handpiece produces a bright light that targets vascular lesions and leaves the surrounding skin unharmed to absorb pigmented abnormalities. Sessions with the Dye VL typically only take up to 30 minutes to complete, and improvements are noticeable after only a few weeks.
Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is a nonsurgical cosmetic procedure that utilizes laser technology to target individual hair follicles throughout the face and body. Using the Harmony XL PRO by Alma, we perform what’s called super hair removal (SHR) to destroy hair follicles using concentrated light beams. The result is a smooth skin texture with a noticeable reduction in hair growth.
WHAT SIGNS OF AGING DO INJECTABLES TREAT?
Injectable treatments are formulated to treat some of the most common signs of aging. All of our treatments will help you turn back the clock and reveal the firm, smooth skin of your younger days. These treatments are a great way to achieve noticeable results without the need for invasive surgeries. Our injectable treatments can help to address all of the following signs of aging:
Forehead or worry lines
Loss of volume in lips
Marionette lines between the mouth and chin
Parentheses lines around the mouth and nose
WHAT TYPES OF AESTHETIC NEUROTOXINS DO WE OFFER?
You may be wondering what aesthetic neurotoxins are. Don’t let the complicated name fool you. These are simply injectable treatments that relax the muscles. Neurotoxins are substances that block muscular nerve signals, inhibiting their ability to contract. When the muscles are unable to contract, it results in the diminishing of fine lines and wrinkles in the affected area. This is how aesthetic neurotoxins are used to help reduce the signs of aging. Our neurotoxin treatments can be used to treat the forehead, in between the eyes, and areas around the mouth. We provide three main injectable neurotoxin treatments, which include:
This treatment is used to temporarily reduce the appearance of moderate to severe wrinkles. You can expect results to last anywhere from three to six months.
Jeuveau is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used in adults for a short period of time (temporary) to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines).
Dysport® treatments allow you to improve the appearance of wrinkles without changing the look of your entire face or affecting the ability to make facial expressions.
Xeomin was FDA-approved in 2010 to treat glabellar lines, or fine lines. Xeomin can help temporarily get rid of frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet around the eyes.
PLUMP FACIAL FEATURES WITH INJECTABLE FILLERS
As we age, it’s common to lose the natural plumpness and elasticity of your more youthful days. This can cause wrinkles and an overall sagging appearance that often makes individuals look older than they are. At Brunswick Medical Aesthetics, we offer a variety of face filler treatments to help remedy this situation, and help you find the right treatment to achieve your desired results. We offer the following filler treatment lines:
VI PEELS from Vitality Institute!
Chemical peeling, or chemexfoliation has been a part of clinical dermatology for centuries. From its early inception, aesthetic benefits to patients were known with an ability to improve texture and reduce freckling, melasma, and acne. Chemical Peels remove the outer layers of skin to enhance the appearance as well as improve its functionality. They create controlled damage to the skin, exfoliate dead skin cells, stimulate cell renewal, and regenerate of the supportive dermal structures. Chemical Peels are classified based on their depth of penetration, from very superficial (stratum corneum) to deep (reticular dermis). The depth of penetration is based on the type(s) of peeling agents as well as their percentages. In addition, the acid pH, application technique, quantity applied, skin preparation, and skin type also affect how deep the chemical peel will penetrate. VI peels are a medium depth peel. Patients shouldn’t have to endure pain and discomfort in their journey towards a better appearance, which is why Vitality Institute has designed its VI Peel to be virtually painless, unlike other chemical peels. They also know that complicated applications and convoluted instructions distract from the process, so they make sure that their products are easy-to-use, with no need to pre-condition the skin. And when it comes to results, Vitality Institute’s products are absolutely unparalleled, producing healthy and lustrous skin in as little as 7 days. Patients even reap benefits that they weren’t expecting, since the VI Peel infuses the skin with essential vitamins to complement its exfoliating work. SkinPen® Precision System MICRONEEDLING WITH PRP
How does microneedling work? It creates thousands of microchannels that stimulate your body’s natural wound healing process, while minimizing cellular damage. This rejuvenates your skin from the inside out. The result is effective remodeling of scar tissue, while keeping the overall structure of the skin intact.
There are three phases to the wound-repair process:
Phase I: Inflammation. Piercing the skin triggers your immune system to cleanse the wound, remove debris, increase blood flow and begin to create new tissue.
Phase II: Proliferation. The wound is rebuilt with new granulation cells, which are part of the extracellular matrix. Additionally, a new network of blood vessels develops.
Phase III: Remodeling. The wound is replaced with new dermal tissues and blood vessels.
